Active recovery has become a non-negotiable in my training as I get older.
I’ll be honest — I hate rest days. Something just feels like it’s missing when I don’t move. But I’ve found that a gentle active recovery day keeps my blood flowing, helps my muscles recover, and allows me to put in more focused work when it’s time to push.
My joints especially appreciate it — and if you train hard, yours will too.
